What Happens in Supervision Sessions?

The Integrative Group Supervision Plan provides a lot of extra support outside of the usual group session format. Now, let's talk about what happens during supervision sessions.

Supervision is your chance to step back and define who you are as a provider: what you believe in, which approaches resonate, and how to integrate them authentically. My goal is to help you build confidence, clarify your values, and develop the skills you need to move forward with intention. You’ll get the essentials for practice and exam prep, but always in a way that feels relevant and meaningful to your growth.

Group Supervision Sessions Include:

  • Review and discussion of the 10 core social work competencies and foundations of a licensed independent social worker
  • Review and discussion of the DSM V and the Code of Ethics
  • Study of the various therapeutic modalities and medications
  • Support in managing high stress and crisis situations, along with compassion fatigue and burnout.
  • Opportunities to present cases and ethical dilemmas to the group for feedback
  • Opportunities to make connections to other Social Workers in various settings
  • LCSW sample test questions provided bi-monthly.
  • Focused LCSW exam preparation during the last three months of supervision
  • CEU opportunities

  • Individual time with the LMSW and me
  • Opportunities to present cases and ethical dilemmas to me for feedback
